Insight

I returned home from my second Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy practitioner training yesterday. I received deep teachings from the many beautiful people I worked and played with- One of these blessed teachers was the one who dwells beneath my own skin. I want to share this insight that came to me through my own body wisdom with great clarity.

We human beings are in a constant state of transition-breath by breath, cell by cell, in each moment. Yet the awareness of this unfolding is not always present, so when suddenly we recognize that we are in motion, fear can set in, giving the illusion that we are about to go over a waterfall of change; not realizing we have been coming into this moment all along! If we allow ourselves to stay present with the fear and witness it with curiosity instead of fighting the current, our butterfly wings begin to emerge, and we are able to see that we have a choice. We can sink below the surface, rest upon the waters of change or lift ourselves higher and take in a larger view of our part in co-creating the universe with all of life. Change is involuntary, but our response to change is what facilitates suffering or ease. Compassionate presence to experience is the balm that heals and reveals our wholeness.
