There is more wisdom in your body than in your deepest philosophies. ~Friedrich Nietzche

And my body is still saying..."rest". Even though my mind is saying..."I want to get on with other things now!" And my heart is crying..."I feel so lonely and frustrated!" My spirit sings..."Trust your body."

Body and Spirit are aligned and the other two, will simply learn patience...
And so I breathe and pray for harmony within my 4 inner worlds...
That they will learn to listen to each other.
And hold me in wholeness as I continue to heal.

  2. Thank you. I did make her. Her name is Rachamima...from the Hebrew word Rachamim...which means compassion. I made her as a gift to myself a few years ago when I was dealing with a lot of hip and belly pain...I needed a friend to sit with me during meditation and yoga practice...to encourage me to continue moving...but with compassion toward my hurting body. She became a model for an art class I taught to my Hebrew High students at that time. I created a curriculum in which the made Middah Dollies (Middah means soul quality in Hebrew)...the students made their dolls out of paper and cloth and other materials...part of the project was to make a heart with an intention of a particular soul quality to place inside their doll. Qualities like: patience, peace, joy, humility, compassion, kindness, awe. And we talked about what those qualities really mean...I suggested that the doll each of them created would hold in it's heart a quality that they personally were working toward in their life. It was a wonderful experience to share with these kids.
