just breathe
on your next
inhalation
the world
will change
as you
exahale
you will
change
and all
is as
it needs to
be
opening
bright
foggy & dark
shifting
muted & quiet
expansive
nearer
oh so near
here
breathe

for exquisite views of the skies around the world
and imperfect prose that perfectly reflect whole hearts
Mmmmmm, these shots remind me of the official motto of the province of Saskatchewan -- "Land of Living Skies." Isn't that a wonderful phrase? Your photos illustrate it well.
ReplyDeleteBreathing with the sky as I read your post was like breathing with the breath of the world.
ReplyDeleteWOW!!! Awesome! So simple but what impact.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteSuperb shots! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteBlue sky Reflection
Beautiful, Laura.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was living in the cramped post-communist city of Pristina, Kosovo, I so clearly remember the first time I left town and went on a road trip. The moment we were out of town, my friend said, "The soul just needs wide open spaces every once in a while" - she actually quoted some study to that effect.
ReplyDeleteBut without the cloudy moments, and without the close-ups, we wouldn't appreciate the wide-opens would we? Your photos brought that alive today for me.
you are so right, just breathe... - loved your picture poem, thank you!
ReplyDeleteI love the changing sky, and you have captured it beautifully.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Karen
Thank you - as always.
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful to look up and see the changing canvas of the sky and to be aware of the breath in our bodies and be grateful for all of it. Beautiful, Laura.
ReplyDeleteas as sky watcher,

thank you dear Laura,

Beautiful images, beautiful words.
ReplyDeletePerfect breathing is life.
ReplyDeleteThe Indian concept Atman is translated in Dutch as 'adem(en)' which is very siilar in sound. So breathing as a life force.
Those clouds are very special, so organic ...
Erwin.
dramatic series of SWF skies
ReplyDeleteBeautiful prose and pictures.
ReplyDeleteThis evening our sky was all kinds of clouds and layers of light and dark after a passing rain. I thought of you, Laura. You have opened my eyes to the sky.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful, Laura. As I scrolled down, I breathed with each picture and by the time I was at the bottom, my whole body had relaxed and my spirit opened.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
Well done, Laura! :)

I have a tiny view of the sky from my house. I miss it so much.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
I admire you for the brave woman you are. I certainly believe that you have grown beyond the usual daily routine of this life. You are interested in the needs of the third world and so are your children. My daughters are also always thinking of those people. My youngest daughter in Australia is reading a lot about the Dalai Lama and visiting Bhuddist workshops. We donate also for those people your daughter is working for, but in our countries. ( Australia and Netherlands)Thank you for sharing. I hope that you will continue the good work, the meditating and praying. God bless you.
ReplyDeletebeautiful post this week, like the way the clouds look like folds of fabric rolling across the sky, have a great weekend
