Pumpkin Pies
Ominous Skies
Reflection is Wise

Little Gray Lies
Surprise!!!!
I haven't been out much at all in about four weeks except to go to the doctor and PT. These are September skies. I was hoping the pumpkins might fool you, but clearly the foliage is still green! Sorry for the totally awful rhymes. I blame my medication. I abdicate all responsibility for this horrendous rhyme scheme to the aforementioned medication changes in the last 24 hours.
Plus, I'm still waiting for my charger to re-appear or a new one to be purchased. (Princely duties, such as working 70+ hours a week and taking care of me and the little princesses does not allow for much free time to pick up things like battery chargers. My poor sweet prince. So, good news!!!! I have a huge archive of photos to choose from. Please visit my friends who are linking to:
The old Ford photo is awesome! Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteyour images are beautiful and you are an inspiration - with what all you are dealing with-- to continue to connect with all us artists together.
ReplyDeleteLet me share a little secret with you: most of the photos I use for my Skywatch Friday posts are 'archive photos', the two I used for this week are from July 2008 and New Years' Eve 2009! No shame in using old photos, especially when they are as lovely as the ones you used for this post! I love the one of the old car and the pumpkins!
ReplyDeleteGlad you found time to post today. I really enjoyed all the different scenes you shared.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the photos and actually liked the rhymes :)
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Karen
Photos that fit and tidbits of poetry - fun post for an October day. We had gray skies today that turned to layers of clouds highlighted with pink as the sun was setting. Tonight there is an almost-full moon. I can still be surprised by the range of change a sky can undergo in a short period of time ~ I like the unpredictability.
ReplyDeleteStill waiting in Maine, too. At the beginning of the week I asked my husband to bring home an empty paint can from the hardware store. He is in and out of hardware stores every week for his job. Do I have a paint can? Not yet....
Laura,
ReplyDeleteI like the rhymes too--and I think sometimes we value too much that which is most recent in time. Hooray for sharing your archives with all of us!
The "ominous skies" reminded me of our own western skies today as the warm Indian summer began to turn to rain--something so wonderfully autumnal about those clouds don't you think?
Don't you dare apologize for your rhymes. It sounds like you were touching a part of your childhood, and I see a happy girl:)
ReplyDeleteMay you be well, Laura.
Pumpkins and Firetrucks and clouds , OH MY!
ReplyDeleteThey are all perfectly seasonal and I liked your rhymes,it good to have a little fun, meds or not!
Well, since in Florida it's green all year round, you could have fooled me! The photos are great, especially the first two.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed all these photos and your little verse too!
ReplyDeleteMay as well continue the silly rhyme since you all seem to have enjoyed my cheery side....
ReplyDeleteThanks Guys!!!!

Love the ryhme Laura. It was perfect!
ReplyDeleteYou can't know how many times a day I think of you and your blog and the name of it Shine the Divine brings a smile to my lips. Someday I am going to be able to sit down and read you from beginning to end. In fact, sounds like a Sunday afternoon pleasure for me. Take care of yourself and know you are in my daily prayers.
ReplyDeleteThe rhymes are perfect - as are the photos. The shot of the old truck is awesome - especially against the ominous skies. What fun you'll have going through all the new shots you've taken.
ReplyDeleteYour post left me smiling, Laura! Hope you are, too!
