Gratitude: Kel

Kel is a soulful artist who has become my friend over the past year, yet again, through the wonders of blogging. Kel lives in Australia and we never would have met if not for blog magic! I am so grateful to know this exquisite being who writes the most beautiful prayer offerings on a regular basis for all who stop by to read. Here's a sample:

May the waters run deep
in the soil of your life
so your roots may be nourished
and encouraged
to grow deep and strong
with enough breadth
for stability and solidness
in the ground
on which you are planted.

For only then will there be a buttress
against the strong winds of spring
followed by a canopy of leaves
under which to find
shade from the hot summer sun

as above
so below

deep and wide

Five years ago my husband and I made a seachange and moved from one of the world's most liveable cities to a small island in a remote part of south-east Australia. When we arrived, our property was a bare paddock that had been part of a cattle farm for the past 50 years. We've developing it into a home for ourselves and a soulspace retreat for guests. I'm thankful for a partner who has dared to follow the dream with me. I'm also thankful for the fantastic circle of friends I found in blogland. People who feel like my soultribe.
If you resonate with the Lovely Laura, chances are you're part of my soultribe too.
Pop on over to Xfacta and say G'day.

Oh, I couldn't resist, here is another one of Kel's blessings that I love (and by the way, did I mention her artwork??? You have to hop over like a kangaroo in a hurry and visit!)

as your belly gets to bursting point
may you remember this new thing you are birthing
has the power to transform
not only you but all those in your circle

let the ripples begin moving outward
in ever-enlarging circles
and you may in fact
impact the world

may it be so

~ Kel

  1. Wow! I love these. What blessings...I did go check out Kel's own special place and was awed immediately by what I read there.

  2. I gasped as I read Kei's first offering. So beautifully expressed. Thank you, Kei.

  3. Good morning! It's 7am as I sit here with coffee and do my morning blogrun.

You see, another thing to be grateful for: when living upside down to a lot of other bloggers, who've all been busy online while I've been asleep, means I get to wake up to a great morning exercise routine - taking my fingers for a run on the keyboard :)

Laura, thanx for the opportunity to play at your place today. You have created such a magnificent community here and I am thrilled to have been invited to take part in your November guest postings.

    I am grateful for you

  4. Oh Kel, I'm so happy to have your shining light here to bless us all today!

  5. Kel, so lovely to see you here. You write the most beautiful blessings! May the soul season you are in bring you joy and comfort.
