I love you BIGGER than the SKY!
You might not remember, but when you were little, I would say to you and your sister, "I love you BIGGER than the SKY!"
In these images from the end of summer, endless sky and supply of berries, I see you, playful in the warmth of early September sun.
You are winding down from the first few days of school into relaxed joy as the wind gently kisses your hair in each photo.
And here you are below, just 13...soft, delicate, beautiful as the day your were born.
...and now it is December again, your next birthday
What a pleasure to see you blossom into a 14 year old with integrity, generosity, wit, creativity and passion for so many ideas and causes. In this past year you raised funds and taught others about things that are important to you. Your healing body walked the entire distance for the MS Journey of Hope.
You became a bat mitzvah and clearly have taken your responsibilities to be a righteous soul to heart.
You wrote a script, led a small group of middle schoolers and performed educational skits and activities to raise awareness of hunger and poverty around the world and funds as well for the Nashua CROP Walk.
You help me and your Dad around the house more and more all the time. You greet me with a smile (nearly) every day after school and hang out with me when I can't get out of bed, sitting beside me diligently working on your homework...so we can be near one another. I appreciate your kindness, your desire to be with me when you could be off anywhere else in the house. YOU are a zisa neshama...a sweet soul Rosewillow. You are a blessing. I love you.
When you look at your own reflection, I know you do not see what I see, none of us seems able to fathom the depth of our own beauty. So I'm telling you my darling girl, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL in every possible way!
And yes I still love you BIGGER than the endless SKY wrapped in ribbons of colorful clouds. You are a gift to your Dad and Me, a gift to the world!
Happy 14th birthday Rosewillow!
