Shine the Divine:

Creativity IS a Spiritual Practice

When we see through our hearts, we recognize that every single one of us is infused with creativity. Divine Sparks are embedded in everyone and everything. It's up to us to be courageous, to look and listen deeply, to find the sparks, gather and release them back into the universe, transformed into something new. Join me as we wake up to the sacred-ordinary blessings waiting to greet us each and every day.

Morning Blessing

Light filters through crosshatched branches, day dawns anew,
in stillness I pause.

Glass, screen and grime on the outside of this high window,
separate me from the trees and sky.

But nothing comes between this moment of awareness,
my heart sighing, "Thank You Holy One."

  26. The key line for me was "in stillness I pause." He speaks, if we just slow down enough to listen and wait. Well done.

  47. I am not usually up at daybreak but I was this morning. I paused, too, as I watched the color of the day rise on the horizon. Without thinking I gave thanks. When I have a new day, I have everything.

  48. Beautiful! I love the pause to say, "Thank you, Holy One." How quick we forget to give thanks where thanks is due, even though we are surrounded by His beauty. Blessings.
