Just Leaves

caught in the sunlight, the snow, temporarily frozen, waiting, dissolving.

poised, positioned to gently float, trusting a breeze to arrive the moment it is meant to.

just leaves...just thoughts...just emotions...passing across the snowscape.

Happy Birthday to my big brother Owen:)

  2. Laura, I love your small stones. They are a beautiful way to greet the day. Tiny perfections of being in the moment. I hope you have a glorious day.

  7. Just leaves, just feelings, just sensations. Let it ebb and flow and gently go... Wishing you a soothing gentle day as you have made mine begin that way with "Just Leaves".

  13. So lovely, words and photos both. The wind caught the leaves of our red oak the other day and the looked for all the world like brown birds flying free.

  16. Gorgeous macros, Laura! I agree, sometimes it is nice to notice what happens to be in the landscape and just watch what passes by. :)

  17. Such a perfect profile of a face presents herself for me in your first leaf photos - so strongly it's hard for me to see a leaf at all! Beautiful and poignant as always dear one,

  18. As did Brian, I see a face in the first leaf. A wintry ghostly mask given to multiple interpretations.

And, as everyone else has noted, beautiful photos. Thanks for sharing.

  23. That's so pretty! We don't have winter here but due to the rainy season the temperature has dropped to about 26degrees Celsius and that's quiet cold to me, especially at night and early morning. Usual temperature are around 32 degrees C.

    Keep yourself warm!

  31. I don't know how many times I have returned to this post ... the words and the images ... I'm so drawn to them ... the first photo, the gold, the snow, sideways, the face ... If you offer that photo as available to others at some point, I would be interested, so please do let me know ... Bright Blessings!
