Traveling
The motion
Getting there
Landing
The stillness
Being here
And it doesn’t matter where
Just here
Between the edge of before
Perched on the tip of tomorrow
Balanced
Eyes wide open
Assessing safety versus danger
Fragile wings ready to flee
If fear rises
Yet somehow trusting the moment
Because really this is it
No matter how far you travel
You have to land somewhere
And this seems as good a place as any to…
Rest
And appreciate just how sweet
This very moment
