The sky today is grey; fog engulfs the forest, my favorite foliage this morning of all that remains, is a small bush dipped in brilliant red-orange flame, it punctuates the gloom as if to say, “Remember joy, always remember joy, your heart has been blessed by love for this life you’ve been given.”
So I sit here wrapped in this dark November morning, the weight of sadness in learning of two more friends’ illnesses this week, God’s paintbrush daring us all to seek moments of observable joy, partially hidden by low clouds, but present nonetheless. For this I am grateful.

ReplyDeleteWhen I headed out yesterday I didn't realize how foggy it was. At first I was agitated that it was harder to see the road and worried that the weather might slow me down. Then I noticed how much I could see and I began to relax as I paid closer attention.
