Colorful Dream

She beckoned me to her colorful dream, this wintry brook by the side of the road. I stepped closer and closer toward a world within our own, the one waiting for curious pilgrims to discover, very close to home. 
Cautious at first, concerned about my footing, it was not deep or steep, or slippery as I’d expected, still I placed each boot with care-- 
Until mesmerized by light dancing on every surface--
I lost mySelf in joyful water music, a marimba of rocks, leaves and iced branches, kaleidoscopic colors magnified by the pull of time frozen and fleeting all at once. 
Sacred and ordinary swirled into a moment, held briefly in absolute presence--
  then gone.  
How often my own life feels this way.

    wow! These are so rich and textured. I felt as though I could smell a bit of the fall leaves, hear the crunch of the frost...and feel that glorius sunshine on my face... all while being embraced by Winter's wind. Thank you! So often we get so caught up in the rat race, we forget we live in a world of magic and mystery and of ordinary every day miracles that once we take time to slow it all down, we can then begin to see and marvel at the pure touch of the Divine in everything, and it's all there just waiting and wanting to welcome us if we only stood still for long enough read the signs.
    What a truly wonderful trip you both made and then took us all on.
    Simply amazing.
