A Small Stone: Jan 7, 2012

A lone birch defies the falling curtain of darkness. She gleams, a glamorous starlet, transformed into light itself; not just in the spot light, she IS the spot light. Wind swept satin ice that first caught my attention, now obscured by a fringe of thicket, (a boa at her feet), the reason we pulled over, loses its allure to her splendor.
