Sweetness At The Roots

I sat looking up

awed by the immensity

of roots and blue sky

I am now sitting in a nest of cords, the mic cable, headphone cable, computer cable, external drive cable, and telephone-headset. I’ve been posting, but hardly visiting other blogs. There is this inner flutter of creative activity, wings that beat with my heart’s desire to express itself. I’ve been busy writing and recording music, creating meditation guidance for the two meditation circles I am now facilitating, editing podcasts, being sure to take time for photography and poetry writing along with my own meditation practice and a little yoga on days my body feels strong, and of course being Mom and partner to my beloved. Perhaps it is not a nest, but a hive, “buzzy-busy” collecting this honey that seems to be flowing with an intensity I’ve not known in many years. 

It is wonderful.

It is exhausting.

I am grateful.

I am filled with joy!

And humbled by the kindness of everyone who stops by to visit, leaves comments, attends the meditation circles, is part of my life.

I am realizing too, that I need to pace myself better. Next month, March, I will be blogging much less. Perhaps, only offering a photo every other day to make time and space for some other creative pursuits.

I will also be away at the end of March, at a silent meditation teacher’s training. This will be the first time I’ve gone away without a family member’s assistance in four years. It seems I’ve come full circle, as the last time I went away was a silent retreat at the very same place! I’m very excited and a little nervous, of course, about my energy level, for the full days of attention and presence I will be required to give…and curious about the heart opening teachings I will receive.

So if it seems I’ve gone missing, I'm here, diving deep into this honeycomb, exploring the golden treasure bubbling up from within. (Look closely at the tree roots, you will see a tiny heart hidden:-)
