Plum

Moon hung heavy in summer mountain air
as sky ripened to plum

...and tree opened her heart in sweet welcome.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Above are photos from our trip to the White Mountains last summer (the date should be 2011). If you are a regular visitor of my blog, you know this tree is quite special to me. The skies were absolutely gorgeous that evening, not so much this week, so I dug through my image archives for skywatch, guest heart and himmelsk offerings to share with you.
(For more glimpses of the same tree at other times visit here and here.)
