Shine the Divine:

Creativity IS a Spiritual Practice

When we see through our hearts, we recognize that every single one of us is infused with creativity. Divine Sparks are embedded in everyone and everything. It's up to us to be courageous, to look and listen deeply, to find the sparks, gather and release them back into the universe, transformed into something new. Join me as we wake up to the sacred-ordinary blessings waiting to greet us each and every day.

In the Heart of the Forest

in the heart of the forest
for the seeker there grew
a tree with a secret
a heart strong and true
awaiting the arrival of me or you
to find it still standing
if we would stand still too
with eyes clear
hearts open
soft
nothing to pierce through
just simple awareness
familiar becomes new

  4. You have created a magic atmosphere all through the lines.
To me this is the heart of your poem:

    to find it still standing
if we would stand still too

At the end, nothing material, just becomig aware that familiar becomes new.

Nice image which fits the words perfectly.

  7. Your words and awareness are beautiful.

Yesterday I attended an event where women shared their faith with others. Someone asked us to think of three women in our lives who live their faith. Laura, you and two other women I have met through blogging were the first people to come to mind. Oh, how you have enriched my life. Thank you ~

  11. Oh Laura ... Your tree heart is perfect ... the poem touched my soul. I was alone with my computer and my thoughts, so I read it out loud. I found my voice reduced to a soft hush, while my heart absorbed the words ...
