life breathes into life
beneath ever changing skies
inter+being=one
|
When
the sky cleared a sundog appeared. I’d never seen one before except in photos
it was as awe inspiring as the tiny buds, promising spring's return in a few months here in New England.
Did
you know two mature trees provide enough oxygen to support a family of four for
a whole year? And of course trees need the CO2 we exhale for their survival. We
need trees and they need us to protect them so this reciprocity will benefit
all beings everywhere, for generations and generations to come.
There are many organizations working together to heal and protect our planet. Here's just one to explore: The Nature Conservancy

Beautiful series!
ReplyDeleteSo love that we need each other to be here... and promises of the cycles of life, the bareness of winter and the fullness of summer all reflected in your sundog and haiku...
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos! I love the Nature Conservancy too!
ReplyDeleteI love the facts about trees. I didnt know that two trees can support a family of four. That makes it even sadder that so many of them are being needlessly - and heedlessly - massacred.
ReplyDeleteBonza photos. Trees are considered the lungs of the earth and just like a cancer we destroy 'em tree by tree.
ReplyDeleteThat first photo of the road and trees is my favorite. Beautiful skies as well!
ReplyDeleteA wonderful set of shots! And a tender tribute to trees (and sun dogs)...
ReplyDeleteGreat in B&W!

Your first three photos are my kind of pictures. I really do like them so much. Beautiful work. genie
ReplyDeleteThat first photo is stunningly serene and inviting. So lovely. I've often wondered at the majesty and symbiotic relationship we have with trees. How magnificently God has arranged things.
ReplyDeleteI love the whole sequence of images, the words, everything.
ReplyDeleteLaura, your photos really feed my sprit. I like how you appreciate the vast as well as the minuscule. And yes, trees are probably nature's biggest gift to us. Hope we do conserve them, us. Have a happy week end Laura.
