Meet ME Halfway

full moon icicles
lit with wonder. dare i ask?
here i am what now?

I still need to change the date in my watermark. The icicles by moonlight are from the last night of 2012, the sunsets, the first of 2013. The tiny hearts formed in ice are from the same first evening, as light was growing dim, found on the ground next to our house where they’d fallen.

Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh
meet ME half way
release what has passed
resolve to enter this moment
(with a courageous heart)
faith in ME
unseen Mystery
Ehyeh
I Will Be
open to the possible reality of
this awareness:
goodness
intention (yours-ours) aligned
as life unfolds
Asher Ehyeh
That Which Will
BE

Thank you to my mentor and friend Rabbi Nancy Flam for her Thursday morning meditation offering. Below is how I received her discernment from Bikrat Avraham’s teaching on Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh ~ I Will Be That Which Will Be ~ one of the many names of the Mystery that birthed all into being, distilled yet again through my memory of her words. I pray that my second poem respectfully honors her transmission as I experienced it.

I share here a loving response from my teacher after reading this poem: "May our continuing prayer today deepen because of the inspiration of each other's faithfulness.
With much love,
Nancy"

Amen, Amen, may it be so!

  16. This was a wonderful New Year visit for me. The moon and the icicles....smashingly mystical!

The photo edited sky shots are beautiful.

The poem brightens my thoughts and imaginations for my new year. Permission to copy it for myself, not blogging it, just reading it over and over again.

I treasure your gifts and tuck many away in my heart.

  34. We do share the same sky - but we dont often remember that!

I wonder if we could get a group of people all to take a sky watch image at the same time? (+ or - five minutes). Not the same clock time - but at the same moment all around the world! Its tempting to try.

  49. O love that first photo, of the moon and icicles. A fantastic capture. I remember the moon that night. I oftentimes stand on my deck, barely dressed in Winter's icy cold, and just feel what I am to feel. Your Haiku tells me you were right where you were supposed to be. I know this because I have felt it too on these treks out on the deck.
Wonderful photos. The natural heart shapes are astounding!

    Peace

  64. Ice is such a beautiful mystery. It takes such amazing forms, and yet, when it melts, there is nothing left, but formless water.

I think you're right, creativity is a spiritual undertaking. One has to listen to one's soul.
