When I started this blog five years ago I had no way to know the adventure that was about to begin, the illnesses and grieving my family would endure, the healing and growth that would be born from the suffering, the friends I’d meet along the way, the encouragement that would be offered, the abundance of kindness that would flow through people from one hundred fifty four different nations around the world, nourishing and fueling a spark that would become a flame of courage in the telling of our story, my story. I’m a quiet, contemplative, it is typically only in small groups that I feel comfortable and have the confidence to ask questions and speak from my heart-mind freely. Yet as of the moment I uploaded this post, this blog has been visited 153,682 times. So much for keeping thoughts to myself!
