Welcome to our Ninth Week of I Heart
Macro
"Pure
awareness transcends thinking... It allows you to look at the world once again
with open eyes. And when you do so, a sense of wonder and quiet contentment
begins to reappear in your life."~Mark Williams and Danny Pennman, from Mindfulness An Eight-Week Plan For Finding Peace In A Frantic World
It is time for YOU to share the love up-close with YOUR
I Heart Macro offerings!

Some thoughts for this week:
Every breath is sacred, a
gift. We’ve all had glimpses of this truth, no matter how fleeting, and when
see the marvel of this life; a wholesome desire arises to not waste the
preciousness of what has been given, even when this particular offering is a
passing awareness.

Enjoy slowing down
with your camera, paying full attention, observing beauty and curiosities many
people pass right by. Your generosity of spirit and keen eyes may open the door
to miniscule miracles and mirth others would not have access to otherwise. Feel
free to include poetry, prose and thoughts your macro photo or series
inspire(s) in you. Writing is completely optional for participation.
Straight out of the camera (SOC), edited, color, black and white; anything goes
as long as you bring the viewer near to whatever it is that drew your heart's
attention and "woke you up" to full presence.

Ps. If you were wondering, these are not soap bubbles, they are the magical froth that met my toes at the edge of the sea. If you look closely you can see the sand.

ReplyDeleteWonderful macro shots. I have settings on my camera that will help me get close, my problem is getting up after getting down low enough with the lens. Maybe I need to bring someone with me to grab me by the arm and give me a boost up!

love your bubbles....really cool shots...and every breathe sacred...i have been resonating with sacred this week...all things sacred you know...and the possibility of oceans...
ReplyDeleteLove the macro shots of ocean bubbles! Great verse too.
ReplyDeleteLife is about diving in... it isn't (or shouldn't be) a spectator sport. The rainbow bubbles are amazing in your image. I hope to join in someday with this prompt again as I love photography. Just so busy and must even limit my visiting - summer has me running (enjoying it though) - lots of breaths - lots of exercise. Yes, sacred indeed :)
ReplyDeleteJust love these images Laura, well done in capturing them and sharing them!
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful pictures. I HAD thought they were soap bubbles. So glad you clarified at the end, and yes then I DID see the sand. Time to take my camera out (and not only my iPhone...LOL). Yes, every breath is sacred indeed.
ReplyDeleteOh the beach..I know how you love the beach. I hope it helps you to feel better... This is lovely... hugs to you... Michelle
ReplyDeleteHello, sweet Laura--what wonderful pictures--what a great meme--when I get some extra time I shall join in! I wanted you to know you've been on my mind quite a bit lately. ((hugs)) Hope all is well with you.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, this is a stunning post--just fills my eyes.
