I Heart Macro Week 15

gifts tumble ashore
chipped worn broken torn
pounded pocked purified rocked
waves roll in and in ceaselessly
treasures of the sea like you
and me beauty refined
 on the journey

Welcome to our Fifteenth Week of I Heart Macro

"Pure awareness transcends thinking... It allows you to look at the world once again with open eyes. And when you do so, a sense of wonder and quiet contentment begins to reappear in your life."~Mark Williams and Danny Pennman, from Mindfulness An Eight-Week Plan For Finding Peace In A Frantic World

It is time for YOU to share the love up-close with YOUR
I Heart Macro offerings!

Shine the Divine

Enjoy slowing down with your camera, paying full attention, observing beauty and curiosities many people pass right by. Your generosity of spirit and keen eyes may open the door to miniscule miracles and mirth others would not have access to otherwise. Feel free to include poetry, prose and thoughts your macro photo or series inspire(s) in you. Writing is completely optional for participation. Straight out of the camera (SOC), edited, color, black and white; anything goes as long as you bring the viewer near to whatever it is that drew your heart's attention and "woke you up" to full presence.

  1. Beautiful images! I still say your header photo is one of the most mesmerizing leaf images I've seen.

  2. I love looking at all the shells. We went on a nature walk on our trip, which gave me new appreciation of all that lives by the ocean. Your top one looks like it has a good story behind it. Our nature teacher talked about "hitchhikers" - parasites that live off another creature.

  19. The ocean keeps on rolling on, the shells wear away, and here we are getting older, but part of us longs for the eternal... your shells float there on the streams of time.

  32. I recognized your barnacles right away having grown up on the sea and living on it still. And, our poem was splendid as well. We are all pounded in order to shape who we end up being. Your header picture grabbed me right away though. The amazing beauty in a single leaf when we just slow down to notice.
