Sirens of Memory

 called back to the sea
sirens of memory summon
summer's sweet return

even as color
bespeckles leafy bowers
enkindling my heart

photographs bait me
fish wriggling on sands of time
ceaseless shifting flow

Don't forget to share the love up close with I Heart Macro,

  19. Oh Laura, does the ocean still look like that?
    Somewhere?
It is always the salty green bath of my childhood in my mind,
    but still,
if I imagine it this way or the way I remember,
maybe I could coax her into staying,
    despite the harsh ones.

    Beautiful you are
    as always
