Shine the Divine:

Creativity IS a Spiritual Practice

When we see through our hearts, we recognize that every single one of us is infused with creativity. Divine Sparks are embedded in everyone and everything. It's up to us to be courageous, to look and listen deeply, to find the sparks, gather and release them back into the universe, transformed into something new. Join me as we wake up to the sacred-ordinary blessings waiting to greet us each and every day.

Hakarat Hatov #22

touching breath lightly
rain a steady companion
a new day begins

loam enriched by tears
sorrows sink low we rise sing
grateful for this life

breath comes unbidden
letting go is not a choice
its just what happens

  2. Stunning, Laura, especially "it's just what happens". The photos are incredibly beautiful, as always, but with an extra bit of November color that is really gorgeous.

  3. Oh my but these images are gorgeous, Laura. So much depth and colour in the first two and mystery in the third.

  4. I didn't enter your quilt (I don't really enjoy gratitude posts - childhood bad memories of forceful thanking), but I'll say that I'm happy we don't have to do Thanksgiving and Chanukah together next year.

The trees on top are mystical and magical.

  6. letting go seems to be a theme in my life right now. i look to the bright leaves of autumn and ask them to teach me the beauty of their grace.
i feel you too wrestle with this poignant dance, sometimes we stumble into ecstasy, other times we dance.

  13. Lovely haikus, the first is my favorite - and I just love your photos of the misty woods in the early morning! I almost feel like I'm there, and it brought back wonderful memories of hiking in the dense woods on Whidbey Island last summer. So peaceful!
