Shine the Divine:

Creativity IS a Spiritual Practice

When we see through our hearts, we recognize that every single one of us is infused with creativity. Divine Sparks are embedded in everyone and everything. It's up to us to be courageous, to look and listen deeply, to find the sparks, gather and release them back into the universe, transformed into something new. Join me as we wake up to the sacred-ordinary blessings waiting to greet us each and every day.

before snow arrived

rapt in gold longing
silvered anticipation
before snow arrived

rivers flow beneath iced skin
desire never satisfied

looking out windows
sooted by woodsmoke for signs
of an early spring

May we all be awake to the possibility of grace, even as constrictions of desire, doubt, aversion, inertia, and worry arise, for they too will mysteriously open up to spaciousness once more. As my dear teacher Nancy Flam taught this morning in meditation, "set your anchor in what is solid, in what you know" that deeper wisdom, deeper knowing of love and compassion that comes from the heart of hearts dwelling inside each of us. Sometimes patience is called for, other times we are embraced in an awareness that we are safe sweetness is abundant.

Like the tiny flakes mixed with fuller friends starting to fall outside my bedroom window, frozen crystalline feathers from heavenly realms, each one unique, a continuously changing kaleidoscope of mystery, this is life moment by moment, breath by breath.

I'm sharing my newest favorite piece of music
If you have headphones it is even better!!!
This song is so hauntingly beautiful it will break your heart and lift you up all at once.

Don't forget to share the love up close with I Heart Macro, the linky opens @ 7pm EST Saturday evening.
