My beloved and I went snowshoeing
last weekend, through forested trails, across a frozen river, up between iced
boulders. What a joy to stand with the man who holds my heart with tender love
at this place that knows my heart, where my soul sighs, recognizing home upon
the mountains, beneath the vast, open sky.
May you know you are loved in
every moment, that you are love, for that is your essence.

Please join us in sharing the love up-close with I Heart Macro Week 40, the linky opens @ 7pm EST Saturday evening through Wednesday evening.
We are waiting for the next storm riding up the coast. If I am not online the next few days we may have lost power. Hopefully, not, but I've pre-scheduled the linky for I Heart Macro just in case.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful tribute to love. Happy Valentine's Day, Laura.
ReplyDeletei like your thoughts on love....
ReplyDeletearriving as well...we are constantly in a state of arriving....
What a spectacularly beautiful place - glorious colors, wonderful photos. I love "this place knows my heart". I have a place like that and am visiting it this weekend. Cant wait! Beautiful post, Laura. Even more beautiful photos than usual and that is saying something.
ReplyDeletewhat a stunning series of images to behold with the one you love and who loves you!
ReplyDeleteoh nice...snowshoeing is very cool...i want to try it forever but somehow never managed so far... cool on going there with your loved one as well...what a double bliss
ReplyDeleteAnother heart-lifting meditation in photos and verse. Thank you, Laura. Beauty shared is blessed.
ReplyDeleteAs always your photos are stunning, Laura! Lovely romantic poem.
ReplyDeleteSuch beauty in your nature pictures
ReplyDeleteand in your words..
dear Laura....beyond the amazing photos, and the words, I have been thinking of Creativity, this winter blues, and the Via Negativa. Otto Rank/Matthew Fox and Rollo May all talk about creativity, and what I have come away with is this: Our creativity is forged in our encounter with opposition. This opposition can be many things, major and minor that pass through our lives, but it all serves a purpose IN our lives....it lays the fertile ground for more creative responses. So embrace the serenity, the quietude of Winter, the bareness outside, this most fallow period. It is our preparing for more creativity when the time is right. This precious Via Negativa.
ReplyDeleteLove, Jane
So beautiful! Absolutely amazing!
ReplyDeleteI love the photos...the sunset is lovely. Thanks so much for your comments on my blog. I will get a macro lens one day and be able to join the meme. I find your words so comforting and inspiring to me. Words that I cannot think of to say, you seem to write for me and I say "yes" that is what I am feeling!!! Wonderful. I really like your blog.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the photos and beautiful words. In many ways winter is a time of reflection and sometimes we're forced inward by icy storms. I hope your power stays connected!
ReplyDeleteIt says so much about the kind of person you are, that you can find hearts in the most unexpected places.. places that are overlooked by so many. Long may you continue to be surrounded with love.
ReplyDeleteWonderful, dear Laura. I hope you have a magical Valentine's Day.
ReplyDeleteStunning pictures & words dear Laura ~ Thanks for sharing ~

Laura, what a lovely post! You really are shining your light on the Divine.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Laura!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sentiments and words. Those images - I am always thrilled when I capture such treasure. Wow. Snow shoeing is something I miss from living up North. I am a hiker - we often do that on our trips - I visited Biltmore and enjoyed hiking the grounds more than the touring the house (don't get me wrong, I loved the house) but the surrounding mountains are amazing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place and photos. I find something deeply peaceful and inspiring about the wilderness.
ReplyDeleteAhhhh...

The dark only stands to make the light all the more beautiful? I love your shots, and verse. Hold tight, spring is on its way. Ah, the first buds, and the crocuses... smile if you can... and if you can't, remember that the time for smiling soon returns. I found the 10,000 LUX lights to be helpful, but I would recommend a little research before diving in. Peace.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful and so blessed . . .
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post. I'm glad you got out snow shoeing! Very cool!
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots. We've had hardly any snow and ice this winter. Nice that you could enjoy it!

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful post this is, Laura, and your photographs are truly magnificent. I hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day.
ReplyDeleteThere is a deep sense of quietude here--in your pictures and in your verse--amen to that Laura
ReplyDeleteInteresting that so many of the images, those beautiful lush images, are captured in blue light... calm, peaceful. By the time Valentine's Day rolls around, I'm a bit sick of blue.
ReplyDeleteHope you fare well as the skies threaten. I feel guilty... Used to live in NYC and feel like I should be experiencing that instead of the brutally cold, but lightly snowing, climes of Madison.
Thanks for hanging in with me and for the good wishes at my blog. Take care and stay warm, Amy
Another glorious post, with gorgeous photos! Nicely done Laura, as always! Aloha
