Daffodil dreams wished into a
faded yellow sky,
northern earth dwellers tug
winter's worn skirt:
Demanding,
“Where is chartreuse? We’re
as tired as you.”
Suggesting,
“Let your bone wearied
fingers soften, release your frozen grip.”
Promising,
“We’ll fall in love with
first snowflakes,
the
enchantment of icicles
bright
berries scarlet on white
(whining)
next year too.”

winter sky burns cold
bruised clouds
surround pale-eyed sun
“patience,” faith
whispers

A third day sick in bed with a cold or some
such virus, listening to the call and response of birds in the forest on this
otherwise quiet morning, I enjoy the freedom of which they sing.
Please join us in sharing the love up-close with I Heart Macro Week 41, the linky opens @ 7pm EST Saturday evening through Wednesday evening.

I do miss a northern winter and those pale liquid skies. You can have too much blue sky and these day I get a little too excited when I see grey skies over my corner of the world. Glad you were well enough to hear the feathered ones from the forest*!*
