Shine the Divine:

Creativity IS a Spiritual Practice

When we see through our hearts, we recognize that every single one of us is infused with creativity. Divine Sparks are embedded in everyone and everything. It's up to us to be courageous, to look and listen deeply, to find the sparks, gather and release them back into the universe, transformed into something new. Join me as we wake up to the sacred-ordinary blessings waiting to greet us each and every day.

YOU ARE INVITED TO ADD YOUR PATCH TO THIS YEAR'S

6TH ANNUAL GRATITUDE QUILT!

THIS IS THE LAST WEEK TO SEND ME AN OFFERING FOR THE QUILT

It is easy to participate in the Gratitude Quilt: Close your eyes. Place one hand on your heart, then your other hand over that, giving yourself a gentle hug. Breathe into and out through the center of your heart for several breaths. Now, exhale slowly. Inhale deeply. Exhale again… type or write whatever you are most thankful for in that moment. Do not edit just let the words flow onto an email to me laurahegfield@comcast.net by November 25th so I have time to "stitch" our words together. Please type the words "Gratitude Quilt" in the subject line. *There is no need to translate into English if that is not your native tongue.

Opening our hearts, connecting with many souls around the world in thankfulness is a generous, courageous, loving act, exposing light during a time in which we are facing some very real darkness on our planet, and for some, in our personal lives as well. I look forward to receiving your words of gratitude.

I Heart Macro Week 48

The last thin sheets of ice coating the bog clearly reveal life ready to break through, as this landscape that is not “land” renews. Cautiously proceeding forward cracking shards apart, rubber boots wade along slippery boards just below the surface of frigid water, high from snow melt and spring rains. My figure casts a shadow into the light along this freedom path, heart softens, fresh breath inhaled, a new day begins.

"Pure awareness transcends thinking... It allows you to look at the world once again with open eyes. And when you do so, a sense of wonder and quiet contentment begins to reappear in your life."~Mark Williams and Danny Pennman, from Mindfulness An Eight-Week Plan For Finding Peace In A Frantic World

It is time for YOU to share the love up-close with YOUR

I Heart Macro offerings!

Shine the Divine

Enjoy slowing down with your camera, paying full attention, observing beauty and curiosities many people pass right by. Your generosity of spirit and keen eyes may open the door to miniscule miracles and mirth others would not have access to otherwise. Feel free to include poetry, prose and thoughts your macro photo or series inspire(s) in you. Writing is completely optional for participation. Straight out of the camera (SOC), edited, color, black and white; anything goes as long as you bring the viewer near to whatever it is that drew your heart's attention and "woke you up" to full presence.

Please link back to my blog either using the button provided or by linking the words "I Heart Macro" back to my blog with this link: shinethedivinecreativityisaspiritualpractice.com. By sharing the link, visitors to your blog will learn about this meme and have a chance to participate as well if they so choose.

  30. Continues healing blessings from my area of PA. About an hour from Philly. Having an interfaith family doubles our spring celebrations.

One of our sons also had health issues in high school that were compounded by stress. Being lactose intolerant wasn't helpful, but he knows what he has to do to stay healthy. :)
