I Heart Macro 71

in the spirit of compassion & seeing what is true
acknowledging the mistakes i’ve made this past year
the changes i am still working on as a Rosh Hashanah draws near
the times i have not been patient enough with others or myself
remembering in turning the page that the next breath is fresh
that growth is possible shift happens love is who we are
forward is a circle & we are different each go around

grateful for kindness
unexpected challenges
that led me right here

may suffering teach us to soften our hearts
listen to the cries of our world
longing for mercy
dying for peace

may we be moved to reach out
do what we can to heal wounds
ancient scabs torn open
show our children that terror & scorn must cease

growth is  always possible
shift happens
love     love     love
is who we truly are

may this New Year be sweet & filled with goodness
for all beings everywhere

L’shana Tova Umetuka

Welcome to Week Seventy-One of
I Heart Macro

"Pure awareness transcends thinking... It allows you to look at the world once again with open eyes. And when you do so, a sense of wonder and quiet contentment begins to reappear in your life."~Mark Williams and Danny Pennman, from Mindfulness An Eight-Week Plan For Finding Peace In A Frantic World

It is time for YOU to share the love up-close with YOUR
I Heart Macro offerings!

Shine the Divine

Enjoy slowing down with your camera, paying full attention, observing beauty and curiosities many people pass right by. Your generosity of spirit and keen eyes may open the door to miniscule miracles and mirth others would not have access to otherwise. Feel free to include poetry, prose and thoughts your macro photo or series inspire(s) in you. Writing is completely optional for participation. Straight out of the camera (SOC), edited, color, black and white; anything goes as long as you bring the viewer near to whatever it is that drew your heart's attention and "woke you up" to full presence.

  19. You know what John Lennon reportedly said. "Life is what happens when you are busy making other plans." Sometimes the unexpected is just what is needed.

these images touch me deeply, the dry leaves that look so like folds of ancient cloth.

  22. Hello Laura ! Thanks for your kind words on my blog.

I always I'm moved by your pictures and your words when I visit your blog on the we reflections contest ; your love for Nature is deep and strong, it shows in the way you are able to capture those beautiful details with so much art (ou heart ? ^^).

I'm participating to your I heart macro contest, with my candies for soldier ; they are Bergamote de Nancy, a Lorraine (area in North-East of France) candy speciality flavored with bergamot. It is not a flower, but I hope you will find them sweet. ^^
