Shine the Divine:

Creativity IS a Spiritual Practice

When we see through our hearts, we recognize that every single one of us is infused with creativity. Divine Sparks are embedded in everyone and everything. It's up to us to be courageous, to look and listen deeply, to find the sparks, gather and release them back into the universe, transformed into something new. Join me as we wake up to the sacred-ordinary blessings waiting to greet us each and every day.

I Heart Macro 99

Sometimes close is a state of the heart. Physical distance need not impede the intimacy of attentive, loving observation of that which is beautiful. I listen to the birds, watch them darting about in the trees playfully or hopping on the ground in search of tasty morsels, witness the faces of blossoms turned skyward, blessing the day, early morning through late afternoon.

Pain has come to call again and walking through the woods was a one-day event last weekend, but its ok, I trust this is a temporary situation. The buds on the windowsill are near enough to photograph when I cautiously climb onto the kitchen counter. I am grateful for spring waking indoors and out.

Thank you to my wonderful husband, who bought me (and is helping to learn how to use) a new Canon PowerShot SX60 camera so I can photograph from the windows and get a little closer to the subjects from a distance, something my Panasonic Lumix LX5 camera is not so good at. But wow, the Lumix allows for all the amazing macros I adore. I am so blessed to have such wonderful tools to aid me in seeing the world.

Please forgive me for not visiting every kind person's blog who visited mine, or all the beautiful IHM links you shared this past week. I just haven't had a whole lot of energy. I truly do appreciate every thoughtful comment and beautiful photo offering.

Welcome to Week Ninety-Nine
I Heart Macro
"Pure awareness transcends thinking... It allows you to look at the world once again with open eyes. And when you do so, a sense of wonder and quiet contentment begins to reappear in your life."~Mark Williams and Danny Pennman, from Mindfulness An Eight-Week Plan For Finding Peace In A Frantic World

It is time for YOU to share the love up-close with YOUR
I Heart Macro offerings!

Enjoy slowing down with your camera, paying full attention, observing beauty and curiosities many people pass right by. Your generosity of spirit and keen eyes may open the door to miniscule miracles and mirth others would not have access to otherwise. Feel free to include poetry, prose and thoughts your macro photo or series inspire(s) in you. Writing is completely optional for participation. Straight out of the camera (SOC), edited, color, black and white, anything goes as long as you bring the viewer near to whatever it is that drew your heart's attention and "woke you up" to full presence.
