Creativity IS a Spiritual Practice

When we see through our hearts, we recognize that every single one of us is infused with creativity. Divine Sparks are embedded in everyone and everything. It's up to us to be courageous, to look and listen deeply, to find the sparks, gather and release them back into the universe, transformed into something new. Join me as we wake up to the sacred-ordinary blessings waiting to greet us each and every day.

Empty Bowls I Heart Macro 133

there are more
empty bowls and swollen bellies
than a comfortable body can fathom
the inequities of food and clean water
boggle the mind sink a compassionate heart
like stone in an endless sea of tears
to give a little is never enough
still it is something

At this time in world history, the need for food and clean water is growing every day. Please click here to make a small donation to my team for this year's CROP Hunger Walk, our interfaith community effort to end hunger one step at a time. And while you won't see my name individually listed, I just came home and I did walk the walk, and sang with our all new interfaith community choir. The clouds waited to open up and rain until I was almost home in my driveway. While the walk is complete donations are still most welcome. Thank you to everyone who already made generous offerings!

It has been a long time since last I blogged or posted an I Heart Macro meme, but it is always possible to begin again. I hope you will join me!

Welcome to Week 133
I Heart Macro
"Pure awareness transcends thinking... It allows you to look at the world once again with open eyes. And when you do so, a sense of wonder and quiet contentment begins to reappear in your life."~Mark Williams and Danny Pennman, from Mindfulness An Eight-Week Plan For Finding Peace In A Frantic World

It is time for YOU to share the love up-close with YOUR

I Heart Macro offerings!

Enjoy slowing down with your camera, paying full attention, observing beauty and curiosities many people pass right by. Your generosity of spirit and keen eyes may open the door to miniscule miracles and mirth others would not have access to otherwise. Feel free to include poetry, prose and thoughts your macro photo or series inspire(s) in you. Writing is completely optional for participation. Straight out of the camera (SOC), edited, color, black and white, anything goes as long as you bring the viewer near to whatever it is that drew your heart's attention and "woke you up" to full presence.

  5. Laura! I am so happy to see you here. I am so happy to know you are well enough to walk the walk. It IS always OK to start again -- with blogging as in everything else in life. Thank you for all you have done over the years and all that you continue to do.! (I saw you on Monday Macro and came here immediately. I've thought of you often and I will go and edit my post and link here. ( My macro is part of a longer post; I am not able to write a post daily -- only once or twice a week at the most; so I combine links.)
